Who You Are As a Compliance Manager (Fire Lead), you are a competent, experienced, and dynamic professional who is proactive, self-assured, and autonomous. You have substantial experience in managing large-scale fire contracts and statutory compliance, with a strong track record in handling major fire contracts end-to-end. You are adept at liaising with key organizations and managing contractors effectively, ensuring health and safety compliance, budgeting, and dissemination of information. You hold expert knowledge of RRFO 2005 and related statutory regulations, and you possess the ability to work under pressure, lead and motivate teams, and negotiate and influence various stakeholders. What the Job Involves The role involves orchestrating and managing a program of fire compliance in accordance with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. You will serve as the primary point of contact for all fire compliance matters across the WCC Corporate and Maintained School portfolio. Responsibilities include ensuring ongoing fire risk assessments, coordinating compliance activities, measuring service provider performance, and undertaking the role of Responsible Person Fire. You are also tasked with preparing and presenting performance and financial reports, providing specialist support and training, and managing contractors and suppliers to ensure adherence to fire policy and management requirements. The role requires significant interaction with stakeholders, ensuring effective communication, procurement, planning, and financial strategies are in place.
