Job Description:
We are pleased to be able to offer an exciting Special Educational Needs Teacher role, in our growing school. Starting in September 2025 or January 2026.
This person will plan and deliver engaging lessons to a small group of children, whose primary SEN need is ASD. The teacher will be supported by at least one Teaching Assistant.
Responsibilities
* Subject to the policies and procedures of the school, the duties of teachers are to perform such tasks as the Headteachers shall direct, having reasonable regard to overall workload related to the following categories:
* Teaching a SEN class
* Planning and delivering provision that helps children to work towards and meet individual EHCP targets
* Attend and contribute to annual reviews
* Assessing, recording and reporting the work of pupils
* Promoting and safeguarding the health, welfare and safety of pupils
* Working in partnership with parents, support staff and other professionals
* Undertaking appropriate and agreed continuing professional development
* Participating in issues related to school planning, raising achievement and individual review
* Contributing towards good order and the wider needs of the school
The successful applicant will be well supported and join a team of teachers who are all committed to positive continuing professional development opportunities. St Paul's CofE Infant School & Nursery is expanding to a primary school from September 2025 with some new school buildings and facilities.
