The Organisational Development team are seeking a B1 Learning and Development officer, this is a Fixed Term Appointment opportunity for a period of 12 months. You will play a key role within Social Security Scotland's People Services function, designing and delivering learning activities across Social Security Scotland.

This is a fantastic chance to make a real impact—building trusted relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and using innovative technology and learning methods to deliver high-quality, engaging development experiences. You'll play a key role in delivering complex learning delivery that support both individual and organisational growth.

Please note this is a Fixed Term Appointment opportunity for a period of 12 months.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

* Delivering virtual, blended and face-to-face learning to both new entrants and experienced colleagues, including operational, continuous development and management development.

* Assessing delegate progress throughout learning events through dialogue and regular one-to-ones where needed, providing delegates with support, guidance and constructive feedback to aid their development.

* Using coaching skills to support and challenge delegates and embed coaching in the organisational culture.

* Completing end of course delegate reports to inform managers, issue feedback sheets and learning surveys.

* Contributing to the design, continuous improvement and maintenance of learning intervention.

* Monitoring and evaluating learning activities to measure quality and effectiveness of delivery.

* Providing an effective point of contact for Organisation Development by developing positive and effective relationships with the agency's operational managers and programme colleagues to ensure learning support is focused and effective.

Working pattern
Our standard hours are 35 hours per week and we offer a range of flexible working options, depending on the needs of the role. We embrace a hybrid working style where all colleagues will spend time in either our Glasgow or Dundee offices. There is an expectation of a minimum 2 days per week in your assigned location, which will be either Glasgow or Dundee. Please note this is a full-time role, alternative working arrangements will be considered according to business need. Further Information
This role is only available to existing permanent civil servants who have successfully completed their probation period within Social Security Scotland, or the broader Scottish Government.
