Are you a hands-on technician with a passion for precision testing and vehicle development? We’re looking for a Test Operations Technician to join the Chassis Dyno Operations team, supporting a world-class automotive test facility in Coventry. The Opportunity You’ll play a key role in the delivery of high-quality testing for Powertrain Engineering and Certification teams, you’ll enable effective use of complex measurement instruments and control systems to help drive the performance, efficiency, and compliance of next-generation vehicles. You’ll own and execute test delivery, from setup through to issue resolution, ensuring the right tools, data, and processes are in place for seamless operation. What You’ll Be Doing · Deliver accurate, repeatable tests using advanced automation and diagnostic tools. · Ensure timely availability of equipment and ancillary systems with correct configurations. · Troubleshoot, fault-find, and resolve technical issues to minimise downtime. · Write or modify test requirements and internal procedures for consistency and quality. · Manage test schedules and prioritise based on business needs and available data. · Engage with support teams and track actions using internal reporting systems (e.g. eTrackers) · Ensure compliance with Health & Safety standards, Risk Assessments, COSHH, and SOPs. What You’ll Bring · Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 4 years relevant technical experience. · Proven experience in Powertrain test environments with knowledge of dyno and facility systems. · Strong fault diagnosis and problem-solving skills – data-driven and methodical. · Confident working with test automation, facility software, and MS Office tools. · Solid understanding of health, safety, and quality standards. · Excellent communication, team collaboration, and flexibility under pressure. · A valid UK driving license with no more than 6 points and at least 2 years accident-free.
