Job Description:
Perioperative nursing within NHS Golden Jubilee is proud to acknowledge the strong person-centred reputation that it has established, being central to all that is delivered by the teams here.
We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated Registered Nurses/ODPs to join our General, Thoracic, and Colorectal scrub team.
If you thrive in an environment where caring guides everything you do, and you share our philosophy of care, we welcome like-minded individuals to join our teams.
This is an exciting time for the Colorectal and Thoracic services as we develop our Robotic programmes. We currently have dedicated theatres for Robotic Thoracic Surgery, including lung resections, and treatments for patients with malignant and debilitating bowel conditions. Both programmes, along with our Enhanced Recovery protocols, ensure patients receive pioneering surgery with high standards of care.
Our focus on education supports these programmes. We have Clinical Educators in the theatre department who assist with staff induction and facilitate monthly training days.
You will be assigned a preceptor to guide you through your competencies as you start your theatre career at the Golden Jubilee National Hospital.
The Phase 2 hospital expansion has increased our endoscopy capacity from two to five rooms and expanded theatres from 15 to 20, with more Orthopaedic activities.
This role offers excellent opportunities for learning new skills, personal development, and growth.
The position requires flexible working hours and participation in on-call overnight rotas.
