Job Title: Senior Event Manager (Project Management)
Location: Oxfordshire (with flexibility for 1 to 2 days WFH per week, commutable from London)
Salary: £50,000 to £65,000 DOE
About the Role Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Event Manager to oversee the planning and delivery of a series of large-scale sporting events. This is a high-profile opportunity to take responsibility for every element of food and beverage operations, from VIP areas and press spaces through to restaurants and retail catering.
This is a multimillion-pound contract, suited to a strategic leader with proven expertise in project management, client management and budget control.
Key Responsibilities Lead the end-to-end management of major events from planning through to live delivery
Act as the main liaison for client stakeholders across all events
Manage and inspire a direct team of two, plus wider operational, culinary, logistics and commercial teams
Oversee the development and delivery of food and beverage strategy, working with partners and suppliers
Ensure operational excellence across hospitality, public catering and workforce services
Take full ownership of budgets, including forecasting, cost control and financial reporting
Deliver accurate project planning, communication and reporting to all stakeholders
Be onsite throughout the events, leading operations and stepping in where needed
Drive innovation and creativity in food and service while maintaining brand standards
Ideal Candidate Strong background in event catering or food and beverage operations, ideally with sporting or large-scale event experience
Proven track record in managing complex, high-value projects with multiple stakeholders
Excellent budget management skills, confident in handling multimillion-pound contracts
Experience in high-end catering or hospitality environments is highly desirable
A natural leader who thrives under pressure, motivates teams and sets high standards
Strong communicator, strategic thinker and highly organised project manager
Willingness to travel and commit fully during peak delivery periods
The Offer Competitive salary of £50,000 to £65,000 DOE
24 days annual leave plus bank holidays
Hybrid working with 1 to 2 days from home per week available subject to business needs
