Driver Hire Taunton is currently looking for experienced and reliable Class 1 Shunter Drivers for ad hoc and temporary work based around Castle Cary. If you’re flexible and confident in yard shunting, we want to hear from you!
🔹 Job Details:
1. Role: Class 1 Shunter (yard-based work)
2. Location: Castle Cary and surrounding areas
3. Shifts: Day shifts only (ad hoc/cover work as required)
4. Pay: £16.50 – £20.63 per hour (dependent on shift and assignment)
✅ Requirements:
5. Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence
6. Current CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
7. Previous shunting or Class 1 experience preferred
8. Flexible and reliable approach to work
9. Good understanding of vehicle movements and site safety
