We are supporting a globally recognised engineering organisation in the search for a Customer Training Manager to lead the delivery of technical training on complex, safety-critical products.
This role is not suited to general L&D profiles — we’re looking for someone who has operated within engineering-led customer training environments, delivering structured, technical programmes to external clients.
The Role
* Lead and develop a team of technical instructors (6–7 direct reports)
* Own the full training lifecycle – design, development, delivery & certification
* Manage training schedules, resources, and course portfolio
* Drive the teams KPI performance, process improvement, and compliance
* Work closely with engineering and commercial teams to meet customer requirements
* Ensure technical accuracy, instructor competency, and training quality standards
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience leading customer training within an engineering or technical environment
* Background in delivering structured training on complex products/systems
* Strong experience in planning, scheduling, and resource management of training delivery
* Confident leader with the ability to drive performance and develop teams
* Comfortable working in a highly regulated, safety-critical industry
