You will ensure the business adopts a pro-active and consistent approach towards all sourcing and contract management activity, ultimately ensuring that value for money is maximised, quality of supply is improved, cost savings are generated and social value is enhanced.
They procure many exciting things such as; Fire Engines, critical & innovative IT systems & infrastructure, Bars and Retail Units, large construction projects as well as fun marketing campaigns, including Christmas and celebrity visits.
As a buyer you will be responsible for procuring various commodities and services through the electronic tendering portal. Maintain an engaging approach, working in partnership with internal and external stakeholders on procurement and contract management across all categories including; IT, Commercial, Corporate Services, Infrastructure and Operations.
Carry out all contracting activity in line with their procurement policy and Competition Law and run end to end procurements from planning, sourcing, contract management to supplier performance.
Develop and implement a procurement strategy for the renewal of existing and entirely new contracts/framework agreements, with a focus on sustainability and be able to successfully negotiate with suppliers to achieve a better and more sustainable outcome for the business.
