Job Title: Principal or Senior Geotechnical / Geo-Environmental Engineer
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent with an initial six-month probation period
Working hours: 37.5 hours/week – Monday to Friday (part-time considered)

We are looking for a Principal or Senior Geotechnical / Geo-Environmental Engineer to join our friendly team in Ivybridge, Devon. You will work on diverse, complex Geotechnical and Contaminated Land projects across the Southwest.
The Role:
* Lead technical aspects, project delivery, and support junior team members in geotechnical and environmental services.
* Manage ground investigations, including planning, procurement, and execution.
* Design and interpret geotechnical investigations for structural and civil design support.
* Perform logging to BS5930, sampling soils, rocks, groundwater.
* Conduct contaminated land assessments (Phase I to IV) per current regulations.
* Develop conceptual site models and perform risk assessments.
* Provide environmental services like CEMPs, MMPs, earthworks specifications, waste management.
* Monitor and interpret ground gas and groundwater data.
* Prepare and review technical reports.
* Ensure compliance with H&S / CDM regulations and environmental permits.
* Engage with clients, regulators, contractors, and stakeholders.
* Collaborate with civil and structural teams on integrated schemes.
About You:
* Degree in Engineering Geology, Geotechnical, Civil Engineering, or related.
* Chartered status preferred but not essential.
* 3-5+ years' relevant experience; less may be considered for the right candidate.
* Experience managing site works and reporting.
* Knowledge of British Standards, Eurocodes, environmental laws.
* Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
* High standards, attention to detail, good communication skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office.
* Committed to CPD and industry innovation.
* Full driving license required.
Beneficial Skills:
* Knowledge of Holebase, AutoCAD, GIS software.
* Current CSCS card.
