About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to oversee mechanical installations on residential construction projects. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing contractor delivering high-quality housing developments.
You will be responsible for managing mechanical trades on-site, ensuring all works are completed safely, on time, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise installation of mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, heating, and ventilation
* Manage and coordinate subcontractors and direct labour on-site
* Ensure all work complies with current building regulations and health & safety standards
* Monitor progress against programme and report to senior management
* Conduct site inspections and maintain quality control
* Resolve technical and site issues efficiently
* Liaise with site managers, engineers, and other trades to ensure smooth project delivery
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Mechanical Supervisor within residential construction
* Strong background in plumbing, heating, or HVAC systems
* Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings
* Good knowledge of UK building regulations and H&S requirements
* SSSTS or SMSTS certification (preferred)
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* Full UK driving licence
