Position : Electrical Technician (some mechanical skills beneficial)
Location : Sheffield with occasional time needed on customer sites
Salary : £30,000-£40,000
Hours : Monday to Friday days
Visa Support : No - you MUST have the right to work in the UK
Driving Licence : Full UK driving licence preferred
Duties :
Responsibilities:
Building and assembling electrical systems, equipment, instruments etc from diagrams
Factory acceptance test of components and products
Panel wiring
Fabricating and maintaining electrical subsystems and components
Performing calibration of electrical equipment to ensure accurate and reliable performance.
Collecting and analysing electrical data, measurements, and observations using electrical testing instruments.
Recording and documenting electrical test data and results accurately and in a timely manner.
Following standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and reproducibility of products
Troubleshooting electrical issues and resolving technical problems that arise during build and assembly
Collaborating with team members to analyse and interpret electrical data.
Ensuring electrical equipment complies with safety standards and regulatory guidelines.
Assisting with installation and commissioning on client sites Qualifications, Experience and Skills:
Essential:
Level 3 Electrical Engineering qualification (City & Guilds, BTEC, NVQ, or equivalent).
18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations qualification (or equivalent).
5 years of experience in electrical work, or 3 years of experience as an electrical technician in an engineering environment.
Experience with building, maintaining, testing, and troubleshooting electrical systems and equipment.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team
Familiarity with electrical wiring, circuits, and testing equipment.
Able to read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams.
Proficient in using electrical hand tools and testing instruments.
