Role: Education Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP)Based: The Northeast – roles in Newcastle and GatesheadRate: £29, 855paStart Date: ASAP – Aug/ Sept 2025Duration: PermanentHours: Full Time and Part Time Positions AvailableAre you passionate about supporting young people’s mental health and wellbeing?Do you want to make a real difference in schools and communities across the Northeast and make a lasting impact on Young Lives?Our client, a leading national children’s charity, is seeking several qualified Education Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) to join their dynamic and compassionate team.This is a unique opportunity to be part of a pioneering mental health support programme in educational settings, working directly with children, young people, school staff and parents/ carers to promote emotional wellbeing and early intervention.About the RoleAs an EMHP, you will deliver evidence-based interventions to children and young people with mild to moderate mental health difficulties, working closely with families, school staff, and other professionals.You’ll also contribute to whole-school approaches to mental health, provide workshops, and help shape supportive environments where every child can thrive.Key responsibilities include:Delivering outcome focused, evidenced based interventions in education settings for children and young people (aged 5-18) experiencing mild to moderate emotional well-being and mental health issuesWorking collaboratively with school staff and other professionals to support mental health initiatives and to ensure better access to mental health supportSupporting whole-school approaches through training, psychoeducation, and workshopsContributing to the ongoing development and evaluation of the programmeWorking in partnership with children, young people, parents/carers, families and educators in supporting the self-management of presenting issuesEssential Requirements for the role:Qualified as an Education Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) or Children’s Wellbeing Practitioner (CWP)Experienced in working with children and young peopleConfident working in school or educational settingsCommitted to safeguarding, inclusion, and empowering young peopleAble to build trusted relationships with children, families, and professionalsBenefits of working with our client:Be part of a passionate, child-centred team making a national impactAccess ongoing training, supervision, and professional developmentWork in a flexible, supportive environment that values your wellbeingHelp shape a brighter, healthier future for children and young people across the UKFor more information, please call the team on (phone number removed) and ask to speak to Ria or email her your CV atSupporting Futures Consulting acts as both an employer and an agency
