ROLE OVERVIEW

Based in Mumbai, India, the Country Director – India will lead student recruitment and market development for the entire CATS Global Schools portfolio across India. The role carries overall responsibility for driving regional growth, managing strategic partnerships, and strengthening the organisation’s presence within the Indian education sector. The primary focus will be on developing and managing education agent networks, while also overseeing direct engagement with students, parents, schools, and institutional partners. The Country Director – India will oversee recruitment activities across key regions of India, including Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Delhi, and Kolkata. The role reports directly to the Regional Director.


RESPONSIBILITIES

* Lead and deliver the overall student recruitment strategy for India across all CATS Global Schools brands
* Drive achievement of regional sales targets and business growth objectives
* Develop, manage, and expand strategic partnerships with education agents, schools, and institutional stakeholders across India
* Oversee KPIs related to recruitment performance, agent productivity, and market expansion
* Provide market intelligence, competitor analysis, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership teams
* Manage regional operational expenditure (OPEX) within agreed budgets
* Lead agent training initiatives and ensure high standards of partner engagement and support
* Oversee student and parent counselling activities to ensure a high‑quality admissions experience
* Represent CATS Global Schools at education fairs, conferences, agent meetings, and student‑facing events across India
* Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Admissions, and Academic teams to align recruitment and brand strategies
* Identify new market opportunities and support the expansion of the organisation’s presence across India
* Provide leadership, guidance, and performance management for in‑country recruitment and business development activities
* Ensure effective communication and alignment between regional stakeholders, partners, and internal teams


PERSON SPECIFICATION

* Based in Mumbai, India
* The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years student recruitment experience with the Education sector, preferably a British education provider
