Morson Talent is currently recruiting for an Aircraft Mechanical Technician for our prestigious client based at RAF Coningsby.
The successful candidate will be an experienced and skilled technician undertaking detailed maintenance activities on aircraft or aircraft components. The role requires a good understanding of approved Technical Information and the ability to work independently according to maintenance instructions and the organisation's Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE). The technician should be capable of diagnosing faults, following diagnostic procedures, and providing guidance within a team in a dynamic operational environment.
The key responsibilities include:
1. Performance Indicators: Ensuring effective Part 145 activities, meeting delivery targets, and maintaining airworthiness records.
2. Completion of Activities: Documenting all Part 145 activities accurately and reporting issues appropriately.
3. Procedures/Standards: Complying with Part 145 Exposition and related procedures, proposing changes when necessary.
4. Safety Management System: Applying Human Factors and Error Management philosophies to all activities, understanding risk mitigation strategies.
5. Management System Assurance: Ensuring compliance with governance frameworks, supporting audits, and implementing improvements.
6. Regulatory & Legislative Requirements: Demonstrating understanding of Continuing Airworthiness regulations and supporting regulatory changes.
7. Contractual Requirements: Supporting contractual compliance through process reviews and updates.
Additional responsibilities involve undertaking maintenance and diagnostic activities, analyzing faults, and ensuring tasks are completed to schedule. The role requires a flexible, proactive attitude and adherence to safety and compliance standards.
Qualifications include an Engineering Apprenticeship in Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent, with a minimum of City & Guilds 2675 or 2661. Typically, 3+ years of experience with full competence and authorities on aircraft or components are required.
