Overview
We are very pleased to offer the substantive appointment of a Consultant in Acute Medicine with a Specialist Interest, at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust, based at Barnet General Hospital. You will join a committed team of consultants in a well‑developed and respected service, supported by a forward‑thinking culture.
Responsibilities
* Support the Enhanced Care Unit, the acute medical ward and the AAU hub, running the acute medical take and SDEC pathways.
* Provide acute medical team support in other service areas, as opportunities arise, including fast turnaround bed base and same‑day/same‑week hot clinic.
* Run the virtual ward service, an expanding development for patients.
* Participate in the acute integrated medical on‑call rota, supporting weekend and out‑of‑hours provision on a 1:8 rota.
