VDA/Parts Controller
Motor Bodies Weston Ltd currently has a vacancy for a Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA)/Parts Controller
Salary Dependent upon experience £33,000 - £40,000 plus opportunity to earn bonus
Full Time/ 40 hours a week with an hour unpaid lunch break 8.00 – 5.00pm
We currently have a vacancy for a dynamic and highly organised VDA and parts controller top join our accident repair centre. This dual-focused role is critical to our workshop efficiency, requiring you to produce accurate repair estimates while managing the end to end parts procurement process. Ideally you should have a experience in a similar role and hold a valid ATA VDA qualification.
The successful candidate will:
Duties
* Have a good understanding of modern repair techniques on a variety of vehicle makes and models.
* Be capable of inspecting and assessing damaged vehicles.
* Prepare accurate estimates and safe repair methods using computerised estimating systems such as Audatex and Thatcham Escribe data.
* Be conversant with Bodyshop management systems.
* Negotiate with customers and engineers to agree repair costings and any additional supplementary work required.
* Keep customers updated during the repair process.
* Produce workshop job schedules whilst liaising regularly with workshop staff to update the repair process.
* Liaise with parts supplier to ensure correct parts are ordered and delivered.
* Excellent communication skills as the majority of authorisations are negotiated remotely.
* Overseeing the workshop productivity and efficiencies
* High level of personal and professional integrity.
* Identify, order and track all parts required for repairs, ensuring minimal downtime for the workshop.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in Estimating and customer service, preferably holding a current ATA and relevant qualification.
* Experience of leadership
* Proficiency in workshop management systems
