Rate: £19.30ph
What You'll Do:
As a Sheet Metal Worker, you will play a crucial role in the assembly of high-quality heat exchangers made from Aluminium, Steel, and Inconel. Your expertise will ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety. Here's a glimpse of your primary responsibilities:
Read and comprehend engineering drawings with ease.
Form and shape components to fit build fixtures accurately.
Work meticulously within tight tolerances using thin gauge materials.
Conduct proof and leak tests at various stages throughout the build.
Participate in daily Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities.
Collaborate with the production team to achieve monthly targets.
Uphold Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) compliance.
Be flexible and prepared to work shifts (AM/PM) as needed.
Maintain traceability and adhere to Quality guidelines consistently.What We're Looking For:
To thrive in this role, you'll need a combination of technical skills and a commitment to excellence. Here's what we require from our ideal candidate:
A recognised engineering apprenticeship (e.g., City & Guilds level 3) or equivalent experience in a comparable role.
Proficiency in using measuring equipment such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Flexibility and adaptability to work shifts when required.
A solid understanding of the 5S methodology.
A collaborative spirit and the ability to work well in a team setting.
