Job Description:
We are seeking a Lead Sustainability Specialist to join Telent in Bournemouth. Reporting to the Environmental and Sustainability Manager, you will play a key role in implementing our Sustainability Strategy, supporting business units to meet waste and carbon reduction objectives, customer expectations, ISO14001 standards, and legal requirements across our Rail and Asset Management divisions. This role involves up to 50% UK-wide travel and offers hybrid working arrangements.
Responsibilities:
* Provide expert advice to EHS teams and project leads on environment and sustainability matters to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
* Support risk management by developing environmental assurance regimes, including audit programs, and conducting EHS inspections and audits.
* Assist in preparing sustainability and carbon reduction plans for contracts and bids.
* Maintain performance data and generate carbon management reports for stakeholders.
* Review and evaluate environmental aspects and impacts, including climate change risks, within business units.
* Support project teams to embed sustainable and low-carbon practices throughout the project lifecycle.
Candidate Profile:
