Position
Physiotherapy Assistant – In patient Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy Service, Neurological Rehabilitation Unit, The Hillingdon Hospital. Band 3, full time.
Hours of Work
8:15 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities
Assist with the rehabilitation of patients in the Neurological Rehabilitation Unit, helping them reach their full potential and return home. Following an induction period, manage a caseload of patients, practising safe stair‑climbing, walking practice, exercise programmes and provision/progression of walking aids. Perform administrative tasks, monitor stock and reduce infection risk through cleaning and maintenance of equipment. Work closely with physiotherapists, occupational therapists and other assistants, and provide manual handling support as required.
Qualifications
Enthusiasm for working with people who have complex needs; strong communication, organisation and time‑management skills. Must hold a relevant technical qualification (e.g. NVQ III or City & Guilds) and recent experience. Additional technical skills are desirable but not mandatory.
