Job Description: Logistics Automation Engineer
As a Logistics Automation Engineer, you’ll support the creation of our global logistics strategy and be responsible for specifying, designing, and implementing a best-in-class automated logistics operation utilizing fleets of Automated Guided Vehicles and Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems. This role is hybrid, based in Coventry with some travel within the UK and abroad.
Reporting to the Logistics Engineering Manager, your responsibilities will include:
1. Managing all elements of ASRS solutions across our UK plant, including equipment specification, RFQ evaluation, detailed design, installation, commissioning, and acceptance testing.
2. Project managing logistics automation suppliers to ensure timely delivery aligned with business needs.
3. Interfacing with key stakeholders to ensure building and site services readiness.
4. Supporting the development of our logistics strategy for future project phases.

The Team
The Process Engineering team is dynamic, working across electrode, cell assembly, formation, ageing, testing, control, automation, manufacturing systems, digital manufacturing, and logistics engineering. As a relatively new team, you will play a key role in creating processes and building large-scale logistics facilities from the ground up.
What You’ll Bring
* Experience in designing, optimizing, installing, and commissioning ASRS systems, ideally within the battery or similar industries.
* Experience with ASRS Warehouse Control Systems and integration with upper-level systems such as Warehouse Management Systems.
* Proven project management skills to deliver logistics projects on time.
* Strong knowledge of logistics processes, tools, and techniques.
* Data analysis skills to derive cost benefits and support business decisions.
