What You’ll Be Doing
Join us on this mission as a Pyro Packing Operative in the Pyro Manufacturing Department at the Chalgrove site. Responsibilities include packing and palletising cartridge sets and rocket motors, ensuring correct labelling and documentation, and contributing to timely dispatch of goods.
* Pack and prepare goods for dispatch with appropriate documentation.
* Update the SAP system to track packing progress and dispatch readiness.
* Receive materials into the Packing area and reconcile with goods received notes/production cards.
* Label materials with part and batch numbers and store them safely in the packing area.
* Maintain up-to-date SAP records for material locations.
* Handle materials in compliance with ER14 and safety instructions.
* Operate and maintain packing area machinery and equipment, ensuring they are fit for purpose.
Characteristics & Skills
* Attention to detail — thorough and accurate.
* Sets personal standards, checks own work, and maintains a positive approach.
* Shows initiative in solving problems and can apply different methods to resolve issues.
* Basic packing experience in a manufacturing or stores environment.
* Basic grounding in H&S policies and procedures.
* Basic understanding of engineering drawings.
* Dangerous Goods trained (Air, Sea and Road).
* Understanding of SAP.
