Job Title: Technical Pre-Sales Consultant (ESSN – Enterprise, Server, Storage and Networking)

Chapman Tate Associates seeks a Technical Pre-Sales Consultant, to join this leading IT Services and Consulting business, whom are dedicated to making the difficult feel easy for their customers. They specialise in delivering a range of solutions around IT transformation, IT project delivery, ESSN and the complete IT lifecycle management.
Working within an established and growing IT Managed Services team, this role will be pivotal in acting as a conduit between the Technical and Sales team, assisting a number of existing customers evangelise and transform their IT Infrastructures.
You will help deliver Cloud, Server/Storage, Networking and Virtualisation strategy-focused consulting and design services, helping clients develop their roadmap for adoption. As a Technical Pre-Sales Consultant you will have experience of various cloud architectures (Private, Public Cloud and Hybrid) and Cloud migration strategies.
You will have a good understanding of the different factors which influence or inhibit Cloud adoption and will be able to guide clients to make the right choices.
You will be pivotal in providing strategical advice for a number of internal and external stakeholders around Pre-sales support, Demos, Proof of Concepts, design work for IT Infrastructure environments and a subject matter expert for the Sales Team. You will work closely with the Technical and Sales teams advising them on best fit solutions and processes.
You will have a good breadth of knowledge around the Virtualisation and Cloud based ecosystem such as:
* Hyper converged solutions such as Nutanix, HPE, Azure
* Virtualisation software such as VMware, Hyper-V and other related Cloud offerings
* Storage – Dell/EMC (ideal), HP (ideal, Nimble Storage, Tinitri, Dothill, Netapp
* DR Backup Recovery Solutions e.g. Veeam
The role will also include work around the following (but not limited to):
* Identify solution opportunities for software, hardware, cloud and services within the existing customer base and within new prospects
* Create Solution Proposals
* Work alongside Vendors such as VMware, Microsoft, HP, DELL/EMC around other opportunities that would benefit customers
You will also keep abreast of developments in compute, storage, cloud and virtualisation technologies as well as the wider ecosystem:
* Deliver client engagements, shaping their Cloud/DC Strategies and creating roadmaps for migration
* Expertly define, validate and promote quality solutions for an opportunity, bid or project as required
* Promote the development and re-use of knowledge across the business as required
You will have excellent customer facing skills and must be able to hold your own in sales environments.
