Role - Materials Planner\n\nLocation - Reading (hybrid working) \n\nType - Permanent position\n\nSalary - £40,000-£50,000 (DOE) + benefits\n\nKey responsibilities for the Materials Planner role and not limited to:\n\nUse relevant ERP/MRP systems to plan and manage material requirements for production work orders, ensuring timely availability of materials in the correct quantities.\nWork closely with cross-functional teams including production, procurement, and inventory management-to create and maintain accurate material forecasts and planning data.\nMonitor inventory levels and analyse demand trends to identify risks of shortages or overstock, taking proactive steps to optimise stock levels.\nCoordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely placement and delivery of material orders, tracking risks and issues that could impact production timelines.\nContinuously review and enhance material planning processes, identifying opportunities for automation, standardisation, and improved data accuracy within ERP/MRP systems.\nProduce and analyse reports related to material planning, including demand forecasts, inventory positions, and production schedules, in support of master planning, S&OP, and IBP processes. \n\nKey skills and experience required for the Materials Planner role and not limited to:\n\nProven experience as a Materials/Production Planner, manufacturing background\nFamiliarity with inventory management systems.\nStrong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.\nProficient in using MS Excel / spreadsheet.\nAble to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. \n\nTo apply for this Materials Planner / Materials Controller / Production Planner / Production Controller / Materials Coordinator / Materials Co-ordinator role, candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK
