Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly motivated Network Engineer to support, maintain, and improve our enterprise network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in networking fundamentals, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical teams. This role requires someone who can operate both independently and collaboratively, and who has hands-on experience with Zero Trust technologies such as Zscaler.
Key Responsibilities Include
* Support, configure, and maintain enterprise network systems, including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and cloud-based network services.
* Perform network monitoring, diagnostics, and troubleshooting to ensure high availability and optimal performance.
* Assist in designing and implementing secure, scalable network solutions aligned with organizational goals.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve network issues and support business initiatives.
* Document network processes, configurations, and incident resolutions clearly and accurately.
* Participate in on-call rotations and respond to network incidents as needed.
Qualifications
PJT Partners seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, intelligent and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. In addition, qualified candidates will possess the following:
* Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, subnets, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and network security principles.
* Experience with both Cisco Switching and Meraki Wireless.
* Experience with SASE security platforms, with a strong preference for Zscaler. Experience with similar technologies such as Cloudflare Zero Trust, Palo Alto Prisma Access or Netskope is also valuable.
* Demonstrated troubleshooting skills with the ability to quickly identify, isolate, and resolve network issues.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to explain complex concepts clearly.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
* Hands-on experience with Palo Alto Firewall technology.
* Familiarity with network monitoring tools and ticketing systems.
* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field—or equivalent experience.
