About You
You will help prepare and serve nutritious meals, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene. Responsibilities include managing food supplies, maintaining fridge/freezer temperatures, training new staff, and cleaning. Resident wellbeing is your priority.
We seek a Kitchen Assistant with some kitchen experience, ideally holding an NVQ2 in Catering or Food Preparation or willing to obtain one. Strong organizational skills, good record-keeping, and recipe-following are essential. You should communicate considerately and kindly with residents and colleagues.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You should recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and know how to respond. Attendance at safeguarding training and the ability to seek advice and escalate concerns are required.
