Were working with a leading EPC in the energy sector who is seeking a Sustainability Advisor to join their team in Newcastle on an initial one-year contract, operating outside IR35. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to impactful sustainability initiatives and help shape ESG strategy and reporting across the energy sector. ?? Key Responsibilities: Coordinate ESG data collection and reporting in line with legislative requirements and company standards. Support the development of the Annual Integrated Sustainability Report and liaise with external assurance bodies. Monitor progress via platforms like Engage and provide performance updates to management. Assist in the delivery of HSQ & Sustainability projects and initiatives across the Energy Sector. Prepare detailed reports with key findings and recommendations to support CSRD implementation. Stay informed on global ESG trends and advise on strategic adjustments. ?? What Were Looking For: Degree (BSc/MSc) in Engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainability, or related field. 2 years of experience in ESG/Sustainability roles (energy sector experience is a plus). Strong knowledge of ESG frameworks and standards (e.g., CSRD, GRI, TCFD, CDP, ISO 26000, etc.). Professional sustainability certifications are a plus. Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001. Experience in project management and audit processes. Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI. Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
