Over the last decade, the company has grown significantly and continues to expand its portfolio of works. As part of this growth, the need for a Site Manager with strong project management skills has been identified to ensure the successful delivery of projects while improving service, quality, and operational efficiency.
Salary: c£55,000 per annum
Location: London
The role involves managing restoration and maintenance projects on prestigious and historic buildings in London. Responsibilities include overseeing contractors, trade workers, and company employees, reporting on project progress, quality control, and ensuring all permits and licenses are obtained. The Site Manager will serve as a key contact with clients, ensuring site operations meet standards and client satisfaction through regular site visits.
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with the Managing Director and stakeholders on project works.
* Consult with clients and company representatives to guide project development.
* Select and coordinate contractors, tools, and materials.
* Ensure site operations adhere to RAMS.
* Lead onsite teams and manage project progress and quality.
* Handle permits, licenses, and liaise with authorities like TFL and local highways.
* Manage project costs, budgets, and risk assessments.
* Coordinate health and safety compliance and disseminate relevant information.
* Attend management meetings and respond to inquiries promptly.
* Build and maintain client relationships.
Essential Skills and Experience
* Construction site management experience, particularly with historic buildings.
* Proven project management skills.
* SMSTS qualification required.
* Driving license is desirable.
* Experience with costing, team management, MS Project, and budget oversight.
* Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
