Job Title: Senior Network Engineer
Duration: 12 Month Contract
Location: Christchurch (Hybrid 2-3 days onsite per week)
Rates: £72.54 per hour via Umbrella Company (Inside IR35)
Notes: Must be eligible for SC, working on UK eyes only projects

Deliverables include:
Candidates will be required to but not limited to:
Producing high-and low-level designs to meet challenging networking requirements
Building and configuring technical solutions of networked hardware and software
Integration of Commercial of the Shelf hardware and software
Adherence to systems engineering practices
Fault finding and resolution of issues in a production environment to a successful conclusion
Producing clear and concise technical documentation
Collaboration with other members of the agile team; sharing knowledge and peer reviewing others work
Reporting on progress and providing feedback to team members and leadership
Occasional visits to customer sites to support deployment
Key Knowledge / Skills & Qualifications:
Knowledge:
Essential:
Functional domain knowledge of routing protocols e.g. OSPF, EIGRP, and RIP
Experience of network design to meet customer requirementsDesirable:
Knowledge of software defined networking and network function virtualisation
Experience of Virtual Private Networking including IP Security and the provisioning of Public Key Infrastructure Certification Authorities
Experience of network management protocols e.g. SNMP, SSH, SysLog, ICMP
Knowledge of virtualisation technologies - EG, MWWare, Hyper V and Linnex KVM
Knowledge of deployed communication systems in constrained environments. Defence background also desirable but not necessarySkills:

Installation and configuration of Layer 2 switched networks and Layer 3 routed networks
Technical documentation productionDesirable:
Configuration and support of VRF, L2TP, GRE, and VSS technologies
