THIS VACANCY IS ONLY OPEN TO CURRENT EMPLOYEES OF NHS AYRSHIRE AND ARRAN An opportunity has arisen for a Assistant Practitioner based at University Hospital Ayr. What you will do: Within Station 16 we actively promote the Enhanced Recovery Programme (ERAS) to allow for patients to be confidently & safely discharged home at the earliest opportunity, therefore reducing length of stay and avoiding re-admission and complications. As a Band 4 Assistant Practitioner, with minimal supervision and in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, you will ensure all appropriate patients are working to achieve the measures within the ARISE (Arthroplasty Rehabilitation in Scotland Endeavor) bundle and therefore ensuing optimum patient outcome. This requires someone who can motivate both patient and staff to embed the enhanced recovery ethos within Station 16. In addition to supporting patients to achieve the earliest possible discharge there will be a requirement to accurately support the clinical team with completion of the data set. You will be responsible for ensuring all relevant data is collected and thereafter submitted to the national ARISE database. You will be committed to delivering a high standard of patient care and will display knowledge of the organisation’s values and share the vision to take the department forward to provide safe and effective patient centered care.
