Overview
This part-time role (3 days per week) is for an experienced Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Advisor with in-depth knowledge of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM Regs) to support the civils clearance phase of the Sizewell C nuclear infrastructure project. The role is suitable for a seasoned HSE professional seeking a flexible, long-term opportunity on a nationally significant development. Pay range information is provided by ERSG Ltd; actual pay will be based on skills and experience.
Responsibilities
* Act as a subject matter expert on CDM 2015 Regulations, ensuring full compliance throughout the civils clearance phase.
* Provide HSE guidance and assurance to the project team, supply chain partners, and stakeholders.
* Review and assess Construction Phase Plans, RAMS, and associated HSE documentation.
* Conduct site inspections, audits, and toolbox talks to monitor and promote safe working practices.
* Assist in incident investigations and ensure lessons learned are implemented effectively.
* Liaise with the Principal Contractor and Client-side teams to maintain high HSE standards aligned with project requirements and nuclear sector best practices.
* Support the preparation and submission of reports, HSE metrics, and improvement plans.
Qualifications and experience
* Proven experience as an Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Advisor with knowledge of CDM 2015 Regulations.
* Experience supporting large-scale civils or construction projects; knowledge of nuclear sector best practices preferred.
* Strong ability to review technical safety documentation and communicate HSE requirements clearly to the project team and stakeholders.
