GSL Education are seeking a Head of Computer Science to join the dedicated leadership team of a Secondary School in Pocklington, East Riding of Yorkshire.
Head of Computer Science Responsibilities:
* Provide strategic leadership and direction for the Computer Science department.
* Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons across KS3 to KS5 (including GCSE and A-Level).
* Monitor, assess and support the progress of all pupils.
* Lead on curriculum development, ensuring alignment with national standards and school objectives.
* Manage and support department staff.
* Work closely with the SLT to uphold the school’s values of Care, Creativity and Achievement.
Head of Computer Science Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a relevant degree in Computer Science or a related subject.
* Proven experience teaching Computer Science across at least two key stages, ideally up to A-Level.
* Leadership or curriculum coordination experience is desirable.
* Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
* Have an enhanced child workforce DBS certificate on the Update Service or are willing to process one through GSL Education.
