Job Description
This role is based 5 days a week at our Shirebrook HQ
In the Frasers Group Finance Team there will always be something different happening to keep you busy. There are no formal or rigid ways of doing things, so opportunities to improve processes & procedures are always welcomed. Each member of the finance team has an opportunity to put their own personal stamp on things and senior management are always around to offer a helping hand.
Acquisitions Accounting
* Owning the accounting of the Group’s many acquisitions under IFRS 3 Business Combinations and necessary disclosure in the Group and subsidiary financial statements
* Liaising with Administrators and external advisors to ensure transactions are fully understood and documented
* Owning and presenting the potential impact of acquisitions on the Frasers Group PLCfinancial statements to the Chief Accountant and Director of Finance to support the budgeting & forecasting process
* Owning the audit process of acquisitions, ensuring all appropriate documentation is provided to the auditors & queries answered in a timely manner
Group Financial Statements (IFRS):
* Reviewing monthly Frasers Group PLCconsolidation, including analysis of variances to forecast & prior year
* Liaising with External Auditors on audit queries during the year-end audit process
* Supporting the Chief Accountant with complex accounting areas, includingshare schemes, derivatives, and foreign subsidiaries.
Property Accounting
* Ownership of the accounting of the Group’s property valuations and impairment accounting
* Liaising with internal and external advisors on valuations of properties to be included in the financial instruments and ensuring appropriate accounting in the Frasers Group PLCand subsidiary financial statements
* Reviewing forecasts and variances throughout the year in cooperation with the property team
* Own the audit process of property accounting ensuring all appropriate documentation is provided to the auditors & queries answered in a timely manner
Qualifications
* Qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA, over 3 years post qualified.
* Good knowledge of FRS102 and IFRS
* Excellent Excel Skills
* Highly motivated and able to meet deadlines
* Shows resilience in the face of change, able to work in a fast paced commercial environment where priorities are constantly changing
