Every child deserves someone who believes in their potential — and as a Teaching Assistant, you’ll be that person. This is a chance to make a real difference, helping pupils to grow in confidence, develop independence, and achieve their very best. In this rewarding role, you’ll play a key part in shaping pupils’ learning journeys, supporting them to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Working closely with the class teacher, you’ll help create a purposeful and inclusive classroom environment where every child is encouraged to achieve their best. From assisting with lesson delivery and personalised learning programmes to promoting positive behaviour and independence, this is a role where your support truly makes a difference. Whether guiding small groups, stepping in to lead a class when needed, or helping to bring lessons to life, you’ll be part of a dedicated team committed to giving every pupil the tools they need to succeed.

School visits are welcomed and encouraged. Please contact the school to arrange a suitable time. Avanti Brook is a brand-new, state-of-the-art primary school in Bishop’s Stortford. It’s the first carbon neutral school in Hertfordshire. “I feel like words don’t do this school justice, because as soon as you walk into the school, as soon as you open the door, the only word that comes to mind is ‘wow’!”

Avanti Brook is a non-faith, community school that embraces inclusion and diversity. “I joined Avanti, because it’s such a new school, that it will be shaped and grow with its children, pupils and staff, and that opportunity really excites me” – Class Teacher. Our staff are inspired and passionate about their roles, the vision of the school, and providing the most fulfilling learning experience for pupils. Learning is a quest to discover each student’s unique gifts and potential, and to lay the foundation for their lifelong journey of learning.
