The Construction Site Supervisor Apprentice will support the day-to-day running of our construction site at Oxwellmains, ensuring that work is completed safely, on time, and within budget. You will gain hands-on experience under the supervision of senior site staff while also undertaking a SCQF Level 7 Construction Site Supervision (Building & Civil Engineering) Apprenticeship. \n This role offers an exciting opportunity to learn the core responsibilities of site supervision while contributing to the successful delivery of a nationally significant project.\nâ¢\tSupport in scheduling and planning construction tasks and timelines.\nâ¢\tLearn to interpret site drawings, specifications, and project documentation.\nâ¢\tAssist in coordinating subcontractors, trades, and materials to ensure smooth project progress.\nâ¢\tSupport site management/supervision in monitoring daily site activities.\nâ¢\tHelp prepare and maintain daily site records and reports.\nâ¢\tEnsure all workers follow health and safety policies and procedures.\nâ¢\tParticipate in site safety briefings and toolbox talks.\nâ¢\tReport hazards or incidents to senior site personnel.\nâ¢\tAssist in checking that work meets quality standards and specifications.\nâ¢\tHelp conduct site inspections and audits under supervision. \nâ¢\tAttend site meetings and contribute updates on progress when required.\nâ¢\tMaintain clear and respectful communication with all site personnel.\nâ¢\tParticipate in all training sessions and educational components of the apprenticeship.\nâ¢\tKeep a personal development log (CPD) and a portfolio of work.\nâ¢\tShadow experienced staff to gain insight into supervisory tasks and responsibilities.\n Essential requirements & technical/professional qualifications: \n\n â¢\tThe right to work in the United Kingdom (without sponsorship)\nâ¢\tAble to write and speak English. \nâ¢\tHolds a full UK driving licence.\nâ¢\tNational 5 English and Mathematics (or equivalent).\nâ¢\tRelevant construction qualification at SCQF Level 5/6, or on-site construction experience for a minimum of 12 months.\n\nDesirable skills:\nâ¢\tBasic computer and IT skills are desirable but not essential.\n\nCore competencies, knowledge and experience:\n\nâ¢\tGenuine interest in the construction industry and a desire to grow into a site leadership role. \nâ¢\tProactive mindset with a willingness to take the initiative and solve problems.\nâ¢\tTeam player with excellent communication skills and a positive approach towards others.
