The Role
As an SEN Teacher, you will:
1. Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
2. Teach across a range of age groups, adapting lessons to suit varying developmental stages.
3. Differentiate learning effectively, using a range of strategies and resources to ensure accessibility for all.
4. Create a safe, structured, and stimulating classroom environment.
5. Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and specialist staff to deliver a holistic learning experience.
6. Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting teaching plans as needs evolve.
7. Build strong, positive relationships with parents and carers, keeping them informed and involved in their child’s development.
Candidate Requirements
We are looking for someone who is:
8. A qualified teacher with QTS.
9. Experienced in teaching children with SEN, ideally within a specialist or inclusive setting.
10. Skilled in positive behaviour management and creative teaching strategies.
11. Patient, empathetic, and resilient, with a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
12. Confident in adapting lessons to suit diverse learning profiles.
