Description
At Teledyne Gas Measurement Instruments, we are on a lookout for an Assistant Management Accountant to be based at our Renfrew site. This role is ideal for someone eager to apply their relevant qualifications to a new role and / or someone with demonstrable Accounts Assistant experience looking for their next challenge.
What you'll do:
Supporting four sites: Arras (France), Renfrew (Scotland), Heidelberg (Germany) and Norway you will;
1. Actively participate in the company's monthly closing procedures, reporting to the Teledyne group, and the reconciliation of monthly and quarterly balance sheet accounts
2. Support the management committee and various departments with management control analyses
3. Monthly reporting to the group via Onestream, ensuring adherence to quality and deadline requirements for all four entities
4. Reconcile intercompany positions
5. Reconcile balance sheet accounts for all entities on a monthly basis
6. Participate in monthly accounting closings (reconcile sales, analyse provisions, invoices to be issued, accrued expenses, recording various transactions…)
7. Calculate variable elements (bonuses, etc.)
8. Management reporting for the executive committee
9. Assist tax and legal filings (VAT…)
10. Assist both internal and external audits
11. General finance support (management of shared mail boxes / adhoc queries)
What we're looking for:
12. Accounting training (NC / HNC or qualified by demonstrable relevant account/finance assistant experience)
13. Analytical and summarizing skills
14. Understanding of foreign environments (German, English, American standards (preferred but training can be provided)
15. Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise
16. Good interpersonal skills
17. Ability to adapt to changing priorities
18. Fluency in English, additional languages are a bonus
