Band 6 Radiographer – Royal London Hospital, Barts Health NHS Trust
Responsibilities
* Provide safe and effective running of the imaging department, delivering high‑standard X‑ray examinations.
* Examine patients across multiple modalities – ED, general and outpatient X‑ray, paediatric, fluoroscopy, theatres, dental imaging and CT – with the possibility of training in interventional radiology (IR) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
* Participate in a 24/7, 365‑day service, rotating 7‑day schedules of 12‑hour working days.
* Supervise band 5 radiographers, assistant practitioners, imaging assistants, students/apprentices and visitors.
* Actively manage patient flow to ensure same‑day imaging and uphold high‑quality patient care and experience.
Qualifications
* BSc in Diagnostic Radiography or Diploma of the College of Radiographers.
* Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
* Experience across multiple imaging modalities is desirable.
