Our Building Services Team is looking for a Project Director you will strategically manage and deliver the project and programme within budget, ensuring the achievement of contractual requirements. Building the satisfaction of internal and external customers, as well as managing complex client and customer stakeholders, as well as driving continuous improvement in the asset management and service delivery. To work in collaboration with the wider Skanska Healthcare portfolio to drive continuity, share best practice and add value to the client and customers.
What you’ll do:
1. Full profit and accountability for the project. Responsible for the delivery of Hard Services at the site, including Projects and lifecycle.
2. Lead and develop a team, including the leads for Operations, Performance and Compliance, Technical Services and Capital Works. Take responsibility for all Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental management. Participate in developing, maintaining, and executing a Health, Safety, Environment and sustainability project action plan.
3. Fully understand the contract operationally and commercially and set commensurate targets. Accurately report progress each month, including key activities linked to compliance and H&S. To take a proactive approach to prevent losses and maximise profitability.
4. Take a positive and highly visible lead in developing relationships with the Client and to lead on collaboration with the team and with the Project Co team.
5. Lead and inspire the project team ensuring all employees have a current review and learning plan, that succession plans are in place, and that the team is positively engaged.
6. Ensure that management by information is practised, that effective performance review structures are in place and that measurement and review drives continuous improvement in maintenance performance.
7. Be a key contact and to build and maintain an effective and supportive working relationship with members of the Skanska Building Services team and colleagues both within the Healthcare and Project Co team.
What you’ll bring to the role:
8. Track record of success in delivering complex major projects, and long-term service delivery
9. A strong leader, operationally, commercially and financially astute, with the ability to provide positive leadership and clear direction to a wide-ranging team.
10. Knowledge and experience of the commercial and legal structure and ideally PFI / PPP Framework.
11. Experience of successful working in or with the public sector.
12. Educated to Degree level (or equivalent)
13. Likely to have experience of the Healthcare sector
