Start Date: Wednesday 17th September (strict – must be available and committed)
Contract Details:
* Teaching Level: BTEC
* Hours per Week: 23
* Days per Week: 5
* Rate: £30-£35 per hour
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Chemistry Lecturer to deliver engaging and high-quality teaching to BTEC students. The successful candidate will be confident in delivering the curriculum, supporting student progression, and maintaining excellent classroom management.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality teaching in Chemistry to BTEC students.
* Develop and prepare lesson plans and teaching materials.
* Support and monitor student learning, progress, and achievements.
* Provide feedback, guidance, and academic support as required.
* Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assessments, and outcomes.
* Contribute to the development of the curriculum and teaching strategies.
* Ensure compliance with college policies and safeguarding standards.
Requirements:
* A recognised teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
* Degree or equivalent in Chemistry or a closely related field.
* Experience teaching BTEC (or similar vocational qualifications) is essential.
* Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire learners.
* Fully vetted and able to start on Wednesday 17th September without exception.
* DBS must be on the Update Service
