Are you a systems engineer who thrives on solving complex problems, shaping future technologies, and influencing early-stage product development? We’re looking for a Principal Systems Engineer to play a pivotal role in our Future Products team – a group dedicated to defining the next generation of advanced systems.
As a Future Products Principal Systems Engineer, you’ll help shape early-phase concepts that could define the technology landscape for the decades ahead. From engaging with customers and exploring new technologies to working across multi-disciplinary teams and developing system-level solutions, this is an opportunity to make a genuine impact at the forefront of innovation.
Responsibilities
* Early-phase design and concept development
* Requirement elicitation, road-mapping, and bid support
* Running system trade studies and applying systems engineering methods
* Exploring emerging technologies and integrating new functionality
* Engaging stakeholders to influence and drive new opportunities
What we’re looking for / Qualifications
* Strong systems engineering expertise and enthusiasm for applying new methods
* Experience with tools such as DOORS, Rhapsody, and systems design analysis frameworks (e.g. Pugh Matrix, QFD)
* A background in complex systems development (defence, aerospace, or similar domains beneficial)
* Confidence in navigating uncertainty, developing concepts, and defining system solutions
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence outcomes
* Planning and task management experience
