About the Trainee SENDCo Role
This role is ideal for a teacher with strong SEND experience who is ready to take the next step into SEND leadership. You will work closely with the experienced SENDCo and Headteacher across two school sites, gaining the skills needed to lead SEND provision confidently.
Key Responsibilities (Training Provided)

Support the coordination of SEND provision across both sites
*
Assist with EHCP processes, preparation and review meetings
*
Help organise daily SEND support, interventions and targeted learning plans
*
Support provision for looked after pupils
*
Work alongside teachers to ensure inclusive classroom practice
*
Contribute to SEND data tracking, provision mapping and resource planning
*
Liaise with parents, carers and external agencies under supervision
*
Support with staff training and SEND strategies
*
Help monitor the quality of SEND teaching and learning
You will gradually take on more responsibility as training progresses.
Ideal Candidate Requirements (Trainee Level)
*
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS)
*
Experience working with pupils with SEND (classroom or pastoral)
*
Strong understanding of SEND Code of Practice (even if still developing)
*
Confident in behaviour management and supporting diverse learning needs
*
Excellent communication and organisational skills
*
Willingness to work across two sites
*
Passionate about inclusion, safeguarding and improving outcomes
*
Eagerness to complete the National Award for SENDCo (fully funded by our client)
