Overview
Security Officer position located in Penicuik, UK. Pay £13.45 per hour. Hours are 4 on / 4 off nights, amounting to 42 hours per week. Grade: Site Based.
Job Description
As a Security Officer you will safeguard people, property and information through active patrols, comprehensive searches, accurate record keeping, effective communication and exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
* Active Patrols: Regularly patrol designated areas to detect and deter suspicious activity, ensuring a safe environment for all.
* Thorough Searches: Conduct detailed searches in accordance with company policies and procedures, maintaining vigilance over restricted areas.
* Detailed Record‑Keeping: Maintain accurate records and complete necessary paperwork related to incidents and observations.
* Effective Communication: Collaborate with colleagues, supervisors and external authorities to report incidents and coordinate responses.
* Exceptional Customer Service: Provide outstanding service to employees, visitors and guests, delivering professionalism and courtesy at all times.
Qualifications
* Valid SIA licence.
* Flexibility to work days, nights and weekends.
* Right to work in the UK with a 5‑year checkable history.
* Full, clean UK driving licence.
* Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
