Job Title: Interim Group Head of Tax
Industry: Listed Technology Group
Employment Type: Contract (Initially a Six Month Assignment)
Location: Berkshire
Salary Guide: £130,000 - £150,000 Pro Rata
Our client is a highly rated, publicly listed technology company looking for an Interim Head of Tax. This is initially a six month assignment whilst a permanent search is undertaken with a start date of late September ideally. The expectation is that the successful candidate will be office based at least 2 days a week.
Description
Lead and manage the Tax team, with overall responsibility for managing tax affairs and compliance across the Group. Oversee and maintain the tax control environment, ensuring tax compliance across the Group. Partner with the UK and European Finance teams to ensure robust business processes that facilitate accurate accounting for transfer pricing, tax balances, VAT, R&D tax credits, patent box and other transactions. Responsible for updating transfer pricing policies to align with the Groups jurisdictional footprint, as well as the review of transfer pricing documentation across the Group. Ensure accurate, efficient and timely internal and external tax reporting, including calculation of Group tax rates for interim and annual reports and associated tax notes which are under IFRS. Provide support to UK and European finance teams on tax compliance matters and lead on tax inspections, working with local tax advisors as necessary. Work with the business to optimise tax efficiency whilst meeting business objectives and local reporting and compliance requirements.
Skills
The skills and experience required for this interim Group Head of Tax role include, but are not limited to:
An appropriate accounting or tax qualification with comprehensive knowledge of tax in an international group. Experience within a publicly listed and regulated company desirable. Able to demonstrate understanding and operation of best practise tax control environments. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Able to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
