Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef for new opening in mid April to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, excellent leadership skills, and a strong background in kitchen operations. This role involves overseeing food preparation, managing kitchen staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality are maintained. The successful applicant will play a key role in delivering exceptional dining experiences and maintaining the reputation of our establishment.
Duties
* Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient food production and service.
* Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards.
* Oversee food safety procedures, ensuring compliance with health regulations at all times.
* Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control waste to optimise kitchen operations.
* Train and mentor junior staff in culinary techniques, safety protocols, and customer service.
* Collaborate with management to develop new menus and improve existing offerings.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment in accordance with hygiene standards.
* Serve dishes to guests when necessary, ensuring presentation meets quality expectations.
Skills
* Proven experience in food production, cooking, and kitchen management within a hospitality or restaurant setting.
* Supervising experience with the ability to lead a team effectively.
* Strong skills in food preparation, culinary techniques, and presentation.
* Excellent knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
* Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate staff and foster a positive working environment.
* Good organisational skills with an eye for detail in both food quality and kitchen operations.
* Experience in restaurant service or hospitality is desirable but not essential.
* Ability to work under pressure during busy service times while maintaining high standards of quality.
Pay: £13.00-£14.50 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
