Responsibilities
* Lead and manage junior team members, broader consultant teams and project stakeholders.
* Drive business growth by developing existing accounts and winning new clients.
* Ensure the successful delivery of key assignments and defined business areas, providing strategic direction and monitoring delivery aligned with overall vision and objectives.
* Oversee the project from inception through design, procurement and construction in accordance with the overall delivery programme and agreed milestones.
* Manage project timeframes and budgets, highlight risks, challenges and mitigations, and ensure budgets are managed diligently.
* Provide subject‑matter expertise and guidance to support the success of broader Mace projects.
* Delegate and monitor the delivery of design and authorities programmes, staging plans and sequencing/methodology.
* Perform non‑project related roles such as business reporting, strategic advisory, pipeline management, bidding, business development, resourcing, commercial strategy, contract management, invoicing, debt collection and P&L responsibility as directed by senior leadership.
* Align projects to strategy, placing construction to production, digital and data, service excellence, quality, assurance and sustainability at the core of delivery.
* Partner with internal and external stakeholders, including senior external stakeholders up to c‑suite, to implement strategies and programmes.
* Identify and manage carbon emissions and reductions as part of the net‑zero transition during project delivery.
* Maintain exceptional safety, quality, cost, programme, sustainability and project compliance standards; champion a diverse and inclusive working environment.
* Support the operations director and senior stakeholders in influencing long‑term strategic development of the function or business unit.
Qualifications – Required
* Extensive experience successfully delivering projects and programmes in the healthcare and/or life sciences sectors.
Qualifications – Preferred
* Membership of RICS, CIOB, APM, ICE or equivalent professional development.
* Experience of winning work and growing client accounts.
* NEC4 ECC project manager accreditation.
* Deep property or infrastructure project management expertise.
* Understanding of Public Sector governance and delivery requirements.
* Strong commercial and financial acumen.
* Leadership and management experience of large, diverse teams.
* Experience managing relationships with key senior stakeholders.
* Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape project outcomes.
