A Vacancy at Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust.
Maternity and Neonatal Voices Partnership (MNVP) – Self Employed Opportunity; this is not a direct report to ESTH.
£18.75 per hour incl HCAS Outer pro rata, with reimbursement of childcare and travel expenses.
Role
We are recruiting an MNVP Neonatal Lead who brings the expertise of women/birthing people with lived experience of neonatal services at ESTH into the heart of the development of every aspect of neonatal and maternity services at the Trust.
The role of MNVP Neonatal Lead is key to providing inclusive and collaborative leadership and ways of working, ensuring that all women and birthing people and their families’ views are heard and acted on. This is an exciting opportunity to review, shape and improve services and make a real difference to women, birthing people and their families.
Epsom and St Helier Hospital (ESTH) provides maternity and neonatal care for approx. 3200 women and birthing people and their babies each year, providing all aspects of obstetrics and midwifery care in our labour ward, midwife-led birth centre and home birthing service.
The MNVP Neonatal Lead works with the MNVP Maternity Leads for Epsom and St Helier and maternity and neonatal management teams to ensure service user voices shape maternity and neonatal care, using co-production methods and values. They will champion seldom listened-to voices and address inequalities across all work undertaken. Supported by South West London and Surrey Heartlands Local Maternity & Neonatal System (LMNS).
Responsibilities
* Attend regular Trust meetings as required; role largely flexible over 14 hours per week.
* Collaborate with MNVP teams and management to ensure service user voices influence service development and improvements.
* Champion inclusive and equitable care and address inequalities in all work undertaken.
Qualifications/Requirements
* Experience of working with women/birthing people with lived experience of neonatal services.
* Ability to work in a self-employed capacity and engage collaboratively with Trust and LMNS partners.
* Strong commitment to co-production methods and values.
