We have an exciting role on offer within our Access and Safeguarding as a Head of Access and Safeguarding. We are looking for an outstanding, forward-thinking Head of Access and Safeguarding who is passionate about promoting prevention and ensuring that adults residing in Middlesbrough live independent lives free from abuse and neglect. As the Head of Access and Safeguarding you will: Provide strategic leadership across social work teams Ensure compliance with statutory duties Lead the response to safeguarding adults and work in partnership with the Teeswide Safeguarding Adults Board. Drive innovation in early intervention and prevention, ensuring that our front door is fit for purpose. Strengthen partnerships across health, social care and voluntary organisations Oversee service performance, quality assurance, and data driven improvement Champion a culture focused on inclusion, strengths-based practice, and exceptional customer experience which reduces handoffs and promotes a conversational approach. To be successful in this role you will bring: Significant senior leadership experience in adult social care. The ability to manage high risk, complex situations, giving appropriate advice and guidance to others. The ability to lead and deliver change. Excellent partnership working skills, able to influence and collaborate across health and social care systems. A values driven approach with a commitment to tackling inequalities and improving the lives of vulnerable individuals and their carers. You will have a responsibility for leading the following teams: East and West Locality Teams Access and Safeguarding Team Deprivation Of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS).
