Head of Finance | Legal Practice

Location: Huntingdon / Northampton / Shefford (with travel to other offices) Salary/Benefits: Range depending on experience £75,747.50 - £87,022.50. Benefits include 22% pension, 25 days holiday (and options to purchase more), 2 days office attendance and an array of discounts for retail etc.
The Opportunity
Our client, a progressive legal practice, is seeking an exceptional Head of Finance to lead their finance function and become a key member of the Leadership Team. This is an outstanding opportunity for a qualified accountant with legal sector experience to make a real impact.
The Role
Reporting to the Chief Executive, you'll take strategic and operational responsibility for all financial matters including management accounting, statutory reporting, legal cashiering, and credit control. You'll also hold the regulatory roles of COFA and MLRO.
Key Responsibilities:

* Lead and develop a high-performing finance team
\t
* Produce monthly management accounts and annual statutory accounts
\t
* Ensure full compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules and SRA requirements
\t
* Work closely with the CEO and Board on budgets and financial strategy
\t
* Drive compliance with Lexcel standards and quality management
\t
* Support business development initiatives and firm-wide projects
About You
Essential:
\t
* Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
\t
* Significant experience within legal practice finance
\t
* Expert knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules (SAR)
\t
* Proven leadership and people management skills
\t
* Strong financial reporting and analytical capabilities
Desirable:
\t
* Experience in multi-site legal practices or ABS environments
\t
* Legal case management system knowledge
\t
* Leadership qualification
