As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a Marketing and Business Development Assistant to join our Ipswich-based team. This is a newly created role, ideal for someone who is looking to develop their marketing and business development skills in a supportive, results-focused environment.
About the Role
You’ll work directly with our senior business development team to support a wide range of marketing and business development activities across all our business sectors. From social media content and website updates to campaign planning, you’ll help ensure we stay visible, relevant, and trusted by our clients whilst supporting efforts to grow further.
The diverse position requires a proactive and organised individual with strong communication skills and a keen interest in marketing and business development.
As you will read from the key responsibilities below, this will be a hands-on, varied role, with plenty of scope to grow and take on new responsibilities over time.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing & Digital Marketing
* Website Management – Manage and update the company website, ensuring content is current, relevant, and optimised for search engines.
* Content Creation – Draft and schedule blog posts, case studies, thought leadership pieces, press releases, and newsletters.
* Digital Marketing - Assist in planning and executing digital marketing campaigns, including email marketing, SEO, and PPC.
* Social Media Management – Create and schedule content for social media platforms, tracking engagement and reporting on performance. Producing visually appealing graphics.
* Marketing Collateral – Help create and maintain a suite of physical and digital marketing materials, ensuring compliance with current brand guidelines
* Analytics & Reporting – Monitoring website traffic, campaign performance, and engagement metrics using tools such as Google Analytics. Suggest improvements and ROI.
* Email Marketing – Create and send newsletters, event invitations, and client engagement updates.
* Presentations – Create engaging content using current electronic presentation tools i.e. Teams presenting, Webinars.
* Market Intelligence & Research - Analyse marketing trends to support strategic decision-making.
Business Development
* BD Initiatives - Contribute to ongoing business development initiatives and activities with new ideas and strategies for growth.
* Lead Generation – Support lead generation activities, including outreach campaigns, and follow-up communications.
* CRM Management – Updating CRM database.
* Client / Sector Retention & Engagement – Monitor new / developing / declined / lapsed clients.
* Event Support – Support networking and industry events planning.
* Partnership Development - Assist in identifying potential new business opportunities, partnerships, and distribution channels
* Client Support - Prepare for and attend client meetings, both on and offline.
* Project Coordination - Manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
* General Tasks: Handle general administrative tasks as required.
